Met Elaine to introduce her to my student and sat in for the lesson. Was very impressed at Elaine's teaching! Wah really effective man. She actually got her to play in time! And me... trying to get her to do that since dunno when, didn't manage it. Think the only thing that can stop her from failing now is if she doesn't put in any effort to practise. Really learned a lot by observing Elaine's methods... and I think it's really good! I realised why my teaching was ineffective, and realised that sometimes when I let the small details take a back seat in order to get the 'more important things' corrected, it doesn't work because the small details have to be correct in the first place. And I must really learn how to be firm but encouraging at the same time. Wah, Elaine, power ah.

Aspire to become like her in time to come... hmm well maybe. Still don't really know what I want to do next time. But feeling more strongly pulled towards the private teaching end most of the time than teaching in school.
